1. Definitions

In these terms and conditions "FinePick" means FinePick Catering part of FinePick Limited, "the Client" means the person, firm or company making the booking; and "the Booking" means the function to be catered for by FinePick Catering; and "the Quotation" means FinePick Catering quotation of price based on the estimated number of persons who will attend the Booking.

2. Variations

These terms and conditions may only be varied in writing and signed by an authorised representative of FinePick.

3. Confirmation

The Client must confirm all bookings in writing within 14 days of the provisional booking. The Client’s confirmation means the Client has accepted these terms and conditions, and of the Quotation. Under special circumstances and due to availability confirmation of function can be readjusted by special arrangement. To avoid disappointment your event should be booked as far in advance as possible. Short scheduled bookings are possible but depend on availability.

4. Deposit

For special Events and Functions a deposit of 50% of the quoted price is due no later than 14 days before the date of the event. If the deposit is not paid on the date(s) specified, FinePick Catering reserve the right to cancel the booking.

5. Cancellation

Any cancellation of an event by the Client must be notified to FinePick Catering in writing. In the event of such cancellation the following percentages of the quoted price will be payable by the customer to the Company.

For large functions (e.g. catering with hire and staff)
Cancellation within 7 days of the date booked for the event – 50% of the quoted price.
Cancellation within 3 days – 100% of the quoted price for regular orders (e.g. a delivered service)
Cancellation on same day – 100% of invoice price

6. Numbers

The Company requires a final number of guests at least 3 working days before an event. Unless otherwise agreed, such final numbers will be the minimum number invoiced for but numbers may be increased up to 24 hours before the event subject to availability of food, staff and equipment.

7. Menus

FinePick Catering reserve the right to substitute alternative food and drink if the items ordered cannot be obtained. FinePick Catering will, where applicable, discuss any such changes in advance with the Client and prices may be subject to revision.

8. Delivery

A delivery fee for all delivered items will be charged at £30. If equipment needs to be collected a fee of £30 will be charged. (London) Additional £8 will be charged for deliveries within the congestion charging zone.

No delivery fee applicable to full catering events.

Deliveries will be available to London, Essex, and Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Please verify beforehand.

Orders must be placed by 08:00am for next day delivery. Orders after 10.00am for next day delivery incur a rush charge of 20%. You will need to provide a 1 hour window slot for your delivery. The above is based on delivery between the hours of 7:00 to 16:00, Monday – Friday. For deliveries outside this area; a charge may be made which will be confirmed in the quotation. We endeavour to meet all delivery deadlines however we cannot be held responsible for late deliveries when circumstances are beyond our control. We will communicate this in a timely and professional manner.

All deliveries depend on availability and confirmation.

9. Staff

When staff are calculated as a separate item, they are charged at a session rate (5 hour session), any extra hours worked are charged at the hourly rate. Additional hours incurred on a function will be charged after the event.

Transport must be paid for any staffs who work after 11.30pm. It is normal to allow for travelling time for functions outside Central London.

10. Catering Equipment

All catering equipment such as plates, cutlery, utensils, tablecloths and any additional equipment that we don’t supply as standard, is additional and will be charged accordingly. When facilities are not sufficient at the specified venue, equipment might need to be hired in. Arrangement and confirmation about all facilities should be made prior to any function. These requirements are also crucial to be subjected to Health & Safety laws. For example when fridge/freezer space is not adequate for the desired function or event, we would need to arrange for equipment otherwise the function would not be exceptionable.

11. Taxi Fares

Taxi fares for staff will be charged for any event that ends after 11.30pm, or after the last means of scheduled public transport. For functions outside Central London staff travelling time will be charged at half the hourly rate both to and from the function.

16. Loss or Damage

FinePick Catering will be under no liability for any loss, damage or injury to the Client’s property or the property of the Client’s guests or other persons for whom the Client is responsible, if such loss, damage, and injury is due to the act, neglect or default of the Client or the Client’s guests, staff or agents. The Client will be responsible for and will indemnify FinePick Catering fully against all claims, costs, acts, damage or liability arising due to the act, neglect or default of the Client or of any person for whom the Client is responsible. The Client is wholly responsible for all equipment hired from the time of delivery until collection. The Client should, in their own interest, ensure that all such equipment is insured. Any breakages, loss or damage will be charged to the Client at full replacement cost.

17. Force Majeure

If due to war, strikes, industrial action short of a strike, lockouts, accidents, fire, blockades, import or export embargo, ice, obstruction, natural catastrophes, government intervention, national or local disaster, terrorism or other such events beyond FinePick Catering control, FinePick Catering is unable to perform its obligations to the Client, FinePick Catering will be under no liability to the Client for any loss or damage which may be incurred by the Client.

18. Governing Law

The contract which incorporates these terms and conditions shall be governed under English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

19. Confirmation

By placing your order the Client confirms that they have read and understood the above terms and conditions and agree to abide by the same:

Written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of quotation and may be subject to change following a site visit.
